I just finished reading this book. I strongly recommend you to read it. It is good to have good arguments when you discuss about social wellbeing and public policies.

Officially 40ºC but in practice, 47ºC. Apparently they measure the temperature in the shadow. what about if you are in the sun?!?!?!

Nueva directiva europea- 65h! new Regulation in Europe-65h!

European Union just passed a law to make people work for 65 h a week. It also says that the worker will deal directly with the company to fix the work schedule, what means, it will be each worker and not the unions who is gonna struggle against the company. As you may imagine, this makes companies stronger against Unions, jeopardizing what workers have achieved in the last two centurys in Europe. Europe tends to the work system existing in USA , unfortunately. I am terribly disappointed with the EU.

Obama 08- Hillary 00

Finally it turns out that Hillary dropped the contest! A bit late but reasonable accounting that she really wanted to be the most powerful person all over the world. Now the doubt is: who is gonna be the vicepresident?? Hillary, in an strategy of puting Obama on the spot, hurried up saying Obama's claim: "Yes, we can", but she meant "yes I can and I should be the vicepreseident". Probably the most convenient ticket to win McCain would be both together, but is that what "CHANGE" needs? What if Hillary (and all her lobbies...) stop Obama's cyclon?. Would have Obama enough freedom with Hillary as second chief???
We will figure it out soon. Good luck Obama!!! Yes you can!!!
